Wondering what a future career in science might look like? Take your passion for science to the next stage. Students attending the ACT ConocoPhillips Science Experience will visit scientific research facilities across the Australian National University for a range of tours and hands-on activities. Each year our program is designed to bring fresh perspectives in science research. A key feature each year is our evening reception for parents, teachers and students. This is followed by an inspiring and engaging public lecture by a distinguished ANU scientist. Popular past activities have included stargazing at Mt Stromlo Observatory, DNA profiling; geological mapping and a tour of the Tsunami Early Warning Centre at Geoscience Australia; gamma-ray radioactivity measurements, a tour of a particle accelerator, designing self-driving robotic cars and testing sustainable water filters at the Australian National University.
* Please note that Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn program occurs during the school term.
