"Just wanted to take this opportunity to contact you and thank you for organising The Science Experience; and to ask you to pass on our gratitude to everyone who was involved in the organisation and running of this event.
My daughter Stephanie attended the 3 day program at UWA and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She came home every day excited to tell us of what she had learned and the different areas of science she had been involved in.
I believe that this experience has confirmed in her mind that science is definitely an area she would like to study in at UWA and that she might like to go into the field of medicine. This in turn has led her to be motivated about starting her study of chemistry and physics in yr 10. The course was vey beneficial and enjoyable to the students."

" Everyday Brianne came home and raved about what had happened that day - in particular she was very taken with the young speakers who spoke about their journey to a career in marine science. She met lots of lovely people and has continued to talk about it. We had fresh squid the other night and she told me all about it's organs. So thank you and thanks to Rotary who sponsored her." " I would like to thank you and the science faculty of the University of Melbourne for making The Science Experience 2011 possible and for giving me the opportunity to attend such a wonderful life experience!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it, have acquired new skills and have taken with me a lot of interesting and informative information. During the time in the experience, I learnt about YSA (which I hadn't heard of previously), and am now joining them. I hope to come back to another Science Experience as a mentor!
When I first heard of the program, I took the opportunity with both hands straight away and I am so glad I did!!! So thanks again for a thoroughly entertaining, enjoyable and inspiring program!"

"Thankyou for the wonderful opportunity you have given to my son Jack at the USQ Science Experience over the school break. He came home with a broader understanding of the opportunities in the field of science. Meeting a group of students of varying interests is always good, and Jack had a gret time taking part in the activities. Thanks to the Young Scientists for giving their time and enthusiasm. I'm sure it has made an impression on Jack for the future."

"I would like to acknowledge your team for this excellent program you have delivered throughout the week. It has been the making of my son. He has connected to other science students in his group and is totally motivated towards joining the YSA and persuing tertiary education...at UQ. He was also in the team that won the Design Innovation Competition as a major bonus. The outcomes have been invaluable."

"I have spoken with the three Lowanna students (attending the program at RMIT).... all of them loved the Science Experience and as a result of participating have said that they are less intimidated by the thought of travelling to Melbourne or going to a university to study. All three stated that they would like to go to university, which is fantastic. I thank you for looking after my three students so well, and Lowanna College thanks you for offering the Siemens Science Experience which has motivated all of them to pursue tertiary studies in the science field. Best wishes and thank you."
- Judy Stewart (teacher, Lowanna College) - VIC 2009

"Just a quick e-mail to let you know how awesome the Siemens Science Experience was. I had a totally brilliant time, I saw that science can be fun! I hate it at the moment but need to learn to love it cos I want to be a Paediatric Nurse, so I guess I will need science. Thought I should let you kow how much I loved it and wished it went for longer than 3 days! I can't wait until I finally get to UTAS. I'm so excited about my future now. Thank you so much."

"We took part in many different activities consisting of every type of science imaginable... from plant biology to sport science to mechanics. The best activity we did was held by the Young Scientists of Australia... we made ice cream with dry ice and learnt why Whiz Fizz tastes like it does. We got to use the university equipment and laboratories and also found out about careers and further studies in science. Overall, the experience definitely prepared us for the future and gave us valuable insight into the opportunities ahead.
The friends I met there are inspirational, funny and great people who I'm sure I'll stay friends with long into the future. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet people the same age from all over the state. The scientists, university students and teachers we met were not only good at showing us around and helping us learn, but they were amazingly smart people with the ability to show the fun and enjoyment of science. I would recommend this experience to any Year 9 student who enjoys science."
